Sophia Angbao is an American artist based in Canada, recognised for her distinctive, intuitive style of sculpture. Her works bring objects to life through personalized attributes and emotive details. Since childhood, Sophia has been passionate about personifying objects, and today she uses her skills to imbue her creations with intention and complex emotions.

Drawing inspiration from her daily interactions and experiences, Sophia's sculptures feature a vibrant color palette that evokes energy and highlights elements that stand out, much like the inspirations in her life. Bold and unapologetic, her sculptures command attention, inviting viewers to delve into their intricate details and underlying narratives.

Sophia's work often parallels the experience of meeting strangers, exploring themes of identity and connection. She encourages viewers to reflect on their own identities and consider their connections with the sculptures and one another, fostering interaction among audience members.
